What an event stylist actually does
An event stylist is responsible for how your event looks and feels. We design the visual concept, source every material, and build it on site, then take it all down after the last guest leaves.
On a typical event, styling covers the entrance arch or tunnel, the stage and backdrop, ceiling treatment, table centerpieces, the cake and dessert table, the registration table and welcome board, the celebrant or couple’s seating, the photo wall, florals, lighting accents and the props and signage that hold the theme together.
What we do not handle directly: catering, photo and video, lights and sounds, hosting, and invitations. We work alongside those suppliers and coordinate the setup schedule with them so nothing collides on event day.
Stylist, planner, coordinator or decorator?
| Role | What they own | When you need one |
|---|---|---|
| Event stylist | Concept, decor, backdrop, florals, props, setup and teardown | You want the venue transformed and photo ready |
| Event planner | Budget, supplier selection, timeline, contracts, months of prep | You have no time to source and manage suppliers |
| On the day coordinator | Event day logistics, program flow, supplier wrangling | You planned it yourself but need someone running the day |
| Decorator | Supplies and installs decor items to a given brief | You already have a design and just need it executed |
Most Filipino couples and parents hire a stylist plus a coordinator. Alternation is a stylist: we design and build the look, and we coordinate with your other suppliers on setup day.

What moves the price: guest count, venue size and ceiling height, distance from Dasmarinas, how much custom fabrication your theme needs, and your event date. December and the January to May wedding season book out earliest. Travel outside our core service area is quoted upfront, never added after.
How booking works
From first message to teardown
01 Inquiry
Send your date, venue, guest count and budget range. We confirm availability within one business day.
02 Consultation
Video call or meet at our Dasmarinas studio. We go through your theme, colors, must haves and non negotiables.
03 Concept and quote
You get a mood board, layout and itemised quotation. Revisions are included until the concept is right.
04 Booking
A signed agreement and reservation fee lock your date. The balance is due before setup day.
05 Venue check
We visit or call your venue to confirm ceiling height, load in access, power and the ingress window.
06 Final details
Final headcount, table count and program flow are locked two weeks out. We coordinate the setup schedule with your other suppliers.
07 Setup day
Our team arrives during your venue's ingress window and builds the setup, then stays on standby until the program starts.
08 Teardown
We strike the setup after your event and leave the venue clean. Teardown is included in every package.
Design directions we style most
Start from one of these or bring your own reference. Every setup is built for your venue, not pulled off a shelf.

How to choose an event stylist in the Philippines
Six things to check before you pay a reservation fee
Experience with your event type
A stylist who is brilliant at kiddie parties is not automatically right for a corporate gala. Ask for a portfolio of events like yours, at a similar guest count, and ask which of those they built themselves versus subcontracted.
Style fit
Save your references before you talk to anyone. If a stylist’s past work looks nothing like your board, no amount of briefing will fix that. You want someone whose instincts already point where you are going.
Itemised pricing
Ask for a quote that lists dimensions and quantities, not just “full styling”. Backdrop size, number of centerpieces, ceiling coverage, travel fee and teardown should all be written down. Vague quotes become surprise charges.
Communication
How fast do they reply before you have paid anything? That is your best preview of event week. You want someone who raises problems early rather than agreeing to everything and improvising on the day.
Availability and venue knowledge
Lead with your exact date. Then ask whether they have worked at your venue, and whether they know its ingress window, ceiling height and restrictions. A stylist who has to learn your venue on setup day is a risk.
Meet the actual team
Ask who will be on site the morning of your event. Sometimes the person who charmed you in the consultation is not the person building your backdrop. Meet whoever will be, in person or on a call.
Event styling FAQs
Our packages run from P37,000 to P48,000 for a complete setup, and individual services start at P23,000. Across the wider market, simple single element styling starts around P25,000 to P35,000, complete mid range packages sit in the P40,000 to P90,000 band, and luxury or celebrity level styling starts at P150,000 and can pass P500,000.
Four things move your number: guest count and table count, venue size and ceiling height, how much custom fabrication your theme needs, and travel distance from our Dasmarinas studio. We give you the full figure in writing before you commit.
Every package includes design and concept work, materials, delivery, on site setup and teardown. The inclusions list on each package above is complete, with nothing hidden underneath it.
Charged separately: extra tables beyond the 10 included, add-ons like entrance tunnels, dessert stations, photo walls, neon signage and luxury furniture, and travel for events outside our core service area. All of it is quoted upfront.
Three to six months is comfortable for most events. For December dates and the January to May wedding season, book six to nine months out, because those slots go first. We do accept shorter lead times when we have the date free and the design can be sourced in time, so it is always worth asking.
Yes. We regularly style events across Metro Manila, Tagaytay, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Bulacan, and we take destination bookings for Boracay, Palawan, Cebu and Bohol.
Travel and accommodation costs are computed from your venue address and shown as a separate line on your quotation before you book. We do not add travel charges afterwards.
A full setup typically needs four to eight hours depending on ceiling work and backdrop size. We work inside whatever ingress window your venue allows, and we confirm that window with them ahead of time along with load in access, power and any restrictions on adhesives, rigging or open flame.
Teardown happens right after your event and is included. We leave the venue clean.
Yes, and it makes our job easier. Send your references at inquiry stage. We will tell you honestly which parts translate well to your venue and budget and which parts we would swap out, then send back a mood board and layout before anything is built.
A reservation fee of [XX]% locks your date, with the balance due [X] days before setup. [CANCELLATION AND RESCHEDULING TERMS]
Tell us as soon as you know. Adding tables or moving to a bigger venue usually adjusts the price and we will reissue the quote. Changes made within two weeks of the event may be limited by what we can still source, so earlier is always better.
We handle styling florals (centerpieces, arches, installations and floral walls) in fresh, preserved or premium faux depending on your budget and the season. Personal florals such as the bridal bouquet and entourage flowers are usually handled by a dedicated florist, and we coordinate palettes with them so nothing clashes.
Yes. Much of our inventory (couches, plinths, arches, cake stands and signage frames) is rental stock that gets reused across events rather than thrown out. We can also lean on local and seasonal flowers, potted greenery you keep afterwards, and fabric or wood backdrops instead of single use materials. Tell us at consultation and we will build the concept around it.
A stylist owns how the event looks: concept, decor, florals, props, setup and teardown. A planner owns how it comes together: budget, supplier selection, contracts and timeline. A coordinator runs the event day itself.
Alternation is a stylist. We work alongside your planner or coordinator, and if you do not have one we can point you to people we have worked with.
Yes. Intimate weddings, home celebrations, small baptisms and private dinners are all workable. Message us with your guest count and venue and we will scope a setup that fits rather than pushing you into a package you do not need.
Making the best memories does not have to be expensive
Send us your date and venue. You will get availability, a price and a design direction back within one business day, with no deposit and no pressure.
